Drawing with Colour

Wednesday 6:30pm - 9:30pm (starts in Jan 16 for 5 wks)

Discover the dynamics of drawing with colour while learning about colour harmonies and contrasts. The creative use of colour in drawings will broaden their expressive character. Students will learn different techniques to blend and layer colours. A variety of media will be used throughout the class and still life and nature subjects will be featured.

Prerequisite: some drawing experience.

Calligraphy Explorations

Wednesday 6:30pm - 9:30pm (starts in Feb 20 for 6 wks)

An introduction to the world of contemporary calligraphy, this class is an invitation to learn some of the basics of writing well-formed, expressive letters. With these simplified letterforms we will then create lively calligraphic projects incorporating an exploration of textural brushwork with ink on paper. Class demonstrations combined with individual instruction will inspire students of any level to combine image with text in a dynamic manner.

No experience necessary.
